Jack de Lange Surveying Scholarship

Jack de Lange is celebrated not only for his tenure over many years as the COO and CEO of Consulting Surveyors Queensland (CSQ) and the Spatial Industries Business Association (SIBA), but also for his exceptional leadership in establishing intellectual property rights for surveyors in Australia.

Jack was instrumental in the awarding of IP royalties to surveyors and the subsequent establishment of The Surveyors Trust, a collective fund that pools royalties paid from the sale of  surveyors’ plans and applies them to finance projects that will:

• Advance the expertise of surveyors and have the expertise of surveyors recognised by industry stakeholders and decision makers

• Protect the ongoing sustainability of Australia’s surveying and spatial industry and protect the associated intellectual property.
