Clem Jones AO and Geoff Wright Scholarship
Application Process

In 2024, UniSQ will offer one Clem Jones and Geoff Wright Scholarship to support a student commencing their studies in the Bachelor of Spatial Science Technology (Surveying), or Bachelor of Spatial Science (Honours) (Surveying).

Established in 2022 through the founding gifts from Clem Jones Foundation, Springfield City Group and the Institute of Surveyors Australia (Qld) Bicentennial Education Fund, this endowed scholarship celebrates the surveying careers of Clem Jones AO and Geoff Wright by supporting surveying students through their studies.

Value:  

The scholarship will have a maximum value of $12 000 to be paid over three years.

Eligibility

Applicants must:

  • be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or permanent humanitarian visa holder

  • be commencing their studies at UniSQ in the Bachelor of Spatial Science Technology (Surveying), or Bachelor of Spatial Science (Honours) (Surveying) in Study Period 1 2023 (e.g., Semester 1 2023)

  • be enrolled in a minimum of 6 study units across each academic year, for the duration of the scholarship as follows:

    • minimum 3 study units in Study Period 1 (e.g., Semester 1); and

    • minimum 3 study units across the remaining study periods (e.g., Semesters 2 and 3

    • be enrolled on-campus, external or online.

Selection Criteria

Applicants must:

  • be an Australian citizen, permanent resident, or permanent humanitarian visa holder

  • be commencing their studies at UniSQ in the Bachelor of Spatial Science Technology (Surveying), or Bachelor of Spatial Science (Honours) (Surveying) in Study Period 1 2023 (e.g., Semester 1 2023)

  • be enrolled in a minimum of 6 study units across each academic year, for the duration of the scholarship as follows:

    • minimum 3 study units in Study Period 1 (e.g., Semester 1); and

    • minimum 3 study units across the remaining study periods (e.g., Semesters 2 and 3)

  • provide evidence you have an income at or below the financial threshold limits as directed in the application process.

  • provide evidence of academic achievement as directed in the application process:

    • high school report card or post-secondary academic history (transcript of results) e.g., school, TAFE etc.
